A watch that is always ready.
An automatic watch winds itself as you move. Once you take it off, it only runs for as long as its power reserve allows. With the NH35 movement in our watches that is about 40 hours. Then it stops, and next time you have to set the time and date again.
A winder turns it gently in the meantime, just as if you were wearing it. When you pick it up, it shows the right time.
